What is a Tokinu?
A Tokinu is a very large mammal with reptilian features such as scales, lizard tail, snake eyes and a forked tongue. Tokinus also have many feathers that can range from dark to very bright colors. These feathers are used to attact mates and show ranking. Males have longer, brighter feathers; females have shorter, not as bright colors. Though more dominant females can have longer feathers. The jewel on top of their head is always the same color as their eyes, this jewel is dark and pale when the Tokinu is first born, but gains color as the Inu grows. Tokinus are known to have a skull and feathers tied to their tail. Most skulls are that of birds and are given to the Inu as a pup. Larger Tokinus can even have skulls as large as deer or horses. The feathers are their own baby feathers, this just gives them comfort. Tokinus can be very social to very aggressive, and unsocial. They will also eat almost anything they can get a hold of.
